DOTTIE pairs texture and colorwork for vibrant contrast. The hat utilizes two very different fibers, adding yet another dimension of contrast. If you’re not a pom - pom fan, just let me know: removing it is quick & easy and I’d be happy to do that for you before shipping. If you’ve seen any of my other hat listings, you’ll appreciate this bit of evidence: I’m wearing the Child size here! See—I told you that there’s very little difference between Child & Adult Small sizes when it comes to hats. This hat is is approximately 2.5” ||| 7.5 cm smaller than my head and it fits just fine. Anyone with a head circumference between 18.5 - 21” ||| 47 - 53.5 cm will enjoy this slouch.

Regardless of the fiber used, I highly recommend handwashing all handknits, then laying them flat to dry. For this yarn, it is not a recommendation but a requirement. Agitation when wet will cause the yarn to felt and therefore shrink. If you do keep the pom pom, it will do the same!
You’re purchasing a one of a kind lovingly made handknit piece! Yay! All items have been stored in a smoke free, cat free home. We do have two precious non-shedding, hypoallergenic dogs but they aren’t allowed near the knits :) Each sample has been worn at least once for modeling but is in excellent condition unless noted otherwise. Generally, the price of the sample doesn’t actually cover the cost of the materials (yarn!) that were used to create it, as I use only high quality materials.
